Christmas celebration in the Pöttsching children's village

Bright eyes, great enthusiasm and Christmas mood in the Pöttsching children's village. In 2006, two of the vita-life® WHSF founders were again guests in the Pöttsching children’s village.

Christmas celebration in the Pöttsching children’s village

The attendants and educators had wished for “a couple of instruments for musical therapy” from the vita-life® WHSF. They received an entire set of more than 20 instruments. A further highlight for the children was the performance of “Felix the Magician”. He understood how to delight not only the little ones.

2005

Christmas celebration at the Seebach Integration Centre

As had already been the case in the year before, two of the vita-life® WHSF founders were also guests in the Pöttsching children's village this year. Ingrid Brandstötter and Mario Hintermayer set out, fully loaded with presents for the six houses, at which approximately 70 children are cared for throughout the year. The business partners Ewald Hintermayer and Franz Joham not only reinforced the vita-life® team by their presence, but also surprised with their generous gifts.

Help for Lea

The nine-year-old Lea suffers from leukaemia. Only a bone marrow donation can save her life. However, as the typing of each individual blood donation costs € 50.00, financial donations are also necessary. The vita-life® WHSF has launched an appeal for support of this project and also made donations itself ...

Support of an exceptional musician

At age 26, Wolfgang experienced a fateful day: during a walk, he went completely blind within half an hour. After numerous surgeries which bore no fruit, he was plagued by suicidal thoughts. One day, however, there came a transformation, along with the realisation: “You have to help yourself.”

2005

Support of disadvantaged athletes

Since his difficult fall during a ski race five years ago, Klaus Dolleschal has been a paraplegic. In the time before his accident, Klaus was a famous Carinthian footballer and successful youth trainer.

Cooperation with Shaolin-Master Shi Dejian

During research related to the “vita-life WHSF Heilerdorf” contact was established to the Shaolin Master of the “Upper Temple”, Shi Dejian. As the basic agreements related to joint projects of the Upper Monastery  with the vita-life WHSF for the construction of a temple for meditation, Shaolin techniques and medicine have already been made, this location will be available for exchange programmes in future.

Show projects for “Sri Lanka”

Harry Prünster, the presenter of the day, hosted the programme with a lot of wit and was happy to be able to welcome, among others, Paloma, Lara and the Oxygen band on stage. But the audience was offered quite a lot also off-stage. Ulrich Mattersberger cycled on his ergometer - and each metre brought cash for the WHSF's Sri Lanka Projects. Christian Redl (apnoe diver) and Franz Müllner (Austria's strongest man) showed their might and strength directly at the Wörthersee lake. A ship with 100 children from the Pöttsching children's village took course to the port of Velden. The anchor rope was thrown into the lake 15 m before the landing stage. Now Christian Redl was in demand - he dove the rope up from a depth of 30 m and handed it to Franz Müllner on the landing stage. The latter then drew the boat with the strength of his muscles onto the stage. The three athletes supported the WHSF's projects themselves by performing the show acts without any remuneration.

2005

Kärnten läuft (“Carinthia Runs”)

Thousands of enthusiastic runners and hand bikers defied the pouring rain and took part in the event called Kärnten läuft. The same as in the year before, the vita-life® WHSF supported the event with € 1,400.00 for the first three places. Furthermore, a vita-life® magnetic field system was offered as a raffle prize among all participants of the hand bike trophy.

Help for Alexander Sizonenko

With his height of 240 cm, Alexander Sizonenko is one of the tallest people in the world. He used to be an extremely feared basket hunter in the Soviet National Basketball Team. Sizonenko has suffered from osteoporosis already from the age of 9, and yet the illness did not prevent him from making a career as a basketball player, even if it almost meant his destruction.
